Supplier Compliance Policy

1. Purpose

This policy sets out the minimum compliance expectations for transport members using Backfreight.com. It is designed to protect customers, members and the Backfreight platform.

2. Insurance

Members must maintain suitable insurance for the transport services they offer. This may include vehicle insurance, goods in transit cover, public liability cover or other cover appropriate to the services being provided.

3. Legal operation

Members must operate lawfully and comply with all rules, licences, permits, driver requirements, vehicle requirements, road safety obligations and customer protection duties that apply to their business.

4. Accurate information

Members must not misrepresent their vehicles, operating areas, availability, insurance, public contact details, capacity, qualifications or ability to carry out a job.

5. Customer conduct

Members must communicate professionally, quote clearly, attend when agreed, handle goods carefully and respond appropriately to customer concerns or complaints.

6. Platform restrictions

Backfreight.com may restrict, pause, suspend or remove a member account or vehicle listing where there are compliance concerns, missing documents, repeated complaints, unsafe conduct, misleading information or other platform risks.
